About the Edward J. Pospesil Recruiting Company

Introduction

For over two decades, I have specialized in the recruitment and placement of managerial and technical professionals in the Information Technology/Computer Systems and Telecommunications career fields. My client base has grown to include a select spectrum of publicly and privately held companies including the top of the Fortune 500, middle market enterprises and entrepreneurial firms. I have provided recruiting and consulting services to a variety of manufacturing, service, consulting, financial and professional organizations. Some of my client relationships have endured for over twenty years.

My efforts are to strategically align or partner myself with growing companies who find their growth blocked by a lack of sufficient senior technical and managerial professionals. My operating philosophy is based on the principle that a diligent, ethical and professional mode of operation is the key to success. In practice, my style is personal, direct and honest and both clients and candidates are treated in a confidential and courteous manner.

I believe the success of my recruiting and consulting efforts depends on a complete understanding of both the client's needs and personality as well as a thorough knowledge of the candidate's skills and desires. To accomplish this, I am dedicated to maintaining a high level of communications with all parties as well as presenting only those candidates who meet the special needs of each client. A state-of-the-art computerized database assists me in identifying those candidates who will best meet my clients' needs and vice-versa. In addition, I have made a major commitment to studying and using the latest Web-based search methods to provide the fastest possible service.

A few words about myself: In 1975, following five-and-a-half years as a U. S. Air Force Communications Officer, I began my career in recruiting with Positions, Inc. In 1979 I earned the designation, Certified Personnel Consultant. In 1980, I was promoted to Manager of Data Positions, the first specialty division of Positions, Inc. In January, 1982, I became Group Manager of MIS/Data Processing Recruitment for Fairfield/Whitney, Inc.

In late 1983, I co-founded Buxbaum/Pospesil, Inc. a specialty recruiting firm servicing Financial and Information Technology professionals. In June, 1992 I established my present company, Edward J. Pospesil & Company. I am Past President of the Stamford, Connecticut Chapter of the Data Processing Management Association, a member of the Society for Information Management and a past Regional Vice President of the Connecticut Association of Personnel Services. My degrees are from Trinity College, Hartford and the University of Arkansas.
